Responsible for quality assurance and release of functionality for a mission critical suite of applications. The role will also include contributing to our automation testing framework and load testing. · Communicate test requirements in terms of user stories, acceptance criteria, test conditions, charters and, if necessary, test plans and specifications · Working to maintain and expand the test framework · Monitoring test coverage and obtaining feedback on testing with the Business Owner to ensure the desired coverage level is being obtained · Manually testing user stories throughout the iteration, using applicable test techniques and exploratory testing methods while producing adequate test logs to document the test results · Contribute to testing steps and process improvement · Identify, diagnose and resolve software defects and production issues providing fixes or workarounds as necessary and mitigating or remediating any associated impact · Strive to achieve performance review goals as agreed · Identifying new technology, techniques and tools to incorporate into the test process · Contribute to innovation, maintenance and extension of testing processes, tools and technologies · Other tasks delegated by the direct superior Educational and professional qualifications. · Minimum of 24 months experience in software testing · Experience or desire to learn automation · Experience of JIRA or similar ticketing system · Knowledge of at least 1 programming/scripting language desirable · Ability to learn new systems quickly would be an advantage · Experience in different types in testing i.e. functional, non-functional, UAT, system integrations, API testing. · Agile experience. · Good knowledge of English Personal attribute · Ability to communicate with technical, non-technical and business staff · Goal oriented, self-motivated and committed · Independent and teamwork · Desire to learn new technologies and bank systems
